Zwischen der Schauspielerei und der Musik bewegt sich die Sängerin Zoë aus Wien. Während sie schon immer gesungen hat, kam schnell auch das Mimen vor der Kamera hinzu. 2015 war sie Teil des Ensambles der Serie Vorstadtweiber.

Nachdem sie 2015 erfolglos am österreichischen Vorentscheid teilnahm, versuchte sie es in diesem Jahr erneut. Der franzö-sischsprachige Song Loin d'ici brachte ihr Glück: 2016 reprä-sentiert Zoë Österreich im ersten Halbfinale des Eurovision Song Contests!

Für Pingvin hat sich Zoë trotz Stress Zeit genommen, sich kurz und trotzdem ehrlich unter die Lupe nehmen zu lassen.
Zoë: In meinem Lied geht es um die Suche nach dem Paradies. Es handelt sich dabei allerdings nicht um einen realen Ort, sondern eher um ein imaginäres Paradies. Einen Ort, einen mentalen Zustand, der einen einfach ein Lächeln ins Gesicht zaubert. Jeder kann sich seine eigene Interpre-tation zu dem Song machen.
Zoë: Wir sind noch dabei das Ideale Konzept in die Tat umzu-setzen, aber noch ist nichts fixiert. Wir sind auch noch auf der Suche nach dem Richtigen Kleid.
Wie wirst du dich auf den ESC vorbereiten?
Zoë: Momentan stehen sehr viele Termine, sehr viele Inter-views und Konzerte an. Ich versuche trotzdem meine Stimme zu schonen und mache täglich Gesangsübungen und ein biss-chen Sport, um Körperlich fit zu sein, denn das wird bestimmt eine großartige, aber auch anstrengende Zeit werden :).
Natürlich versuche ich auch teilweise ein wenig zur Ruhe zu kommen, damit ich die Energie für Stockholm habe. Ein heiß-es Bad und ein gutes Buch helfen da sehr!

Wie fühlst du dich wenn du daran denkst, dass dich Millionen von Menschen sehen werden?
Zoë: Ich Empfinde große Vorfreude, aber natürlich auch ein wenig Nervosität. So ganz realisiere ich das alles noch nicht, aber vielleicht ist das auch gut so. Sonst würde mich die Auf-regung kaum schlafen lassen.
Wenn du hörst, dass die bald beinahe 200 Millionen Menschen zusehen werden wie du deinen Song performst, klingt das so unwirklich. Und genial zur selben Zeit. Ich habe mir immer gewünscht Musik zu machen und damit viele Menschen auf der ganzen Welt zu erreichen. Und jetzt habe ich die Möglich-keit dazu.
Welche Bedeutung hat der ESC für dich?
Zoë: Der Eurovision ist der größte Wettbewerb dieser Art und es ist eine große Ehre für mich, das Vertrauen von meinem Land zu haben, welches mich als Vertreter nach Stockholm schickt. Und das sogar mit einem französischen Song. Ich habe mir das immer gewünscht und an meinen Träumen festgehalten und jetzt ist es wahr geworden!
Zoë: My song is about searching for paradise. But it does not handle about a real existing place, that I call paradise. It is about a mental situation, which is resulting a smile on the face. Everyone is able to create an own interpretation.
Did you fix the conception of your show already?
Zoë: We still are working on to realize an ideal conception, but nothing is fixed yet. We are also still looking for the perfect dress.
How are you gonna to prepare yourself?
Zoë: There are a lot of appointments, interviews and concerts left. I try to be careful to my voice anyways and I do a daily training and a little sports, to be fit. It will be an awesome but tough time! Of coure I also try to rest a little bit, so that I can save some energy for Stockholm. A hot bath and a great book are good helpers!.
It feels gorgeous and unreal at the same time
Zoë: I am absolutely full of luck, but I am also very nervous. Still I can't realise it. But I guess this is good, as I couldn't sleep oherwise. If you hear that 200 million people will listen to how you will sing your song, then it feels unreal. And gorgeous at the same time. I always wanted to make music, to reach everyone out of the world. And now I got the possibility.
Which meaning does the ESC have for you?
Zoë: Eurovision is the biggest competiton of this kind and it is a big honour for me, that I receive the trust of my country to represent Austria in Stockholm with a French song. I always wished to be there and kept on my dreams. Now it comes true!
